Unity Paradigm

Before I continue writing on the story manuscript, I’ve taken a break to complete  thorough  character profiles. I feel that developing complete characters that complement each other is extremely important as they are the vehicle that carries the storyline into a reader’s heart. I believe we read for the story, but we fall in love with the characters. Personally, when I recall some  good reads from the past, I may often don’t remember the details of the actual plot but I do remember any well developed characters as if they are a real.  Complete development of a character is crucial, although there should always be room for surprises. I often find it to be a literal turn off when a character is over-developed to the point that there is no mystery about them and they are completely predictable.  And thus, it is this tightrope that I’m walking through right now as I mold the characters of this story.
